List of Medical Conditions

Social Security List of Medical Conditions

Did you know that Social Security has a specific list of medical conditions that can qualify for disability benefits? This list is known as the "List of Impairments" and covers a wide range of health problems.

If you suffer from a disability that prevents you from working, you may be eligible for Social Security for Disability. To qualify for these benefits, the Social Security Administration requires you to prove the following:

  1. Your disability prevents you from performing your current job.
  2. Your disability prevents you from getting a simpler job.
